We hired Don to remodel our upstairs master bathroom this past winter. We initiated the project when we discovered that our large fully tiled walk-in shower was leaking somewhere at its base, beneath the tile. We decided to replace it, along with the bathroom floor, baseboard trim and the sink vanity top. We are extremely pleased with the results. Our project start date was delayed a bit due to repeated snowstorms but Don always kept us informed via phone or email about his availability, and showed up when he said he would--to start the project and thereafter. Don conducts himself professionally, communicates well, and answers and follows up on questions promptly and thoroughly. He and his team of workers all performed high-quality work. I was particularly impressed with the tiler who works with Don; we are appreciating his tile artisanship with every shower! Last December I had a pipe burst in the bathroom of the 3rd floor of my house. It wreaked havoc and destroyed everything in the 2 floors below from the ceilings, to the floors, to the entire kitchen, to the walls right down to the studs. Don and his crew came in and brought my home not only to where it was before, but better. The kitchen guy did an amazing job re-creating the space that is used most. Don was professional and on time with everything and helped me manage what was a huge project so that we could get our lives back. We can't thank him enough for the timely and quality work he provided.

Don is a great general contractor; he was able to design and build a great kitchen and two bathrooms for us in addition to a beautiful laundry room. Every time we have company over, we get compliments about the quality and design of our kitchen. The project was done on time and on budget, the work quality was great and most importantly, Don drives to provide the best work, on time, and with a positive attitude. I was never involved with any of the sub-contractors, but I am very happy with final results. I definitely recommend Don to anyone and will hire him again.
We've been working with Don for over three years and were thrilled when he started his own general contracting company. Don has been personable and reliable and has done great work. We hired his company this fall to replace the rotting woodwork around our front door. He gave us several options at reasonable price points and was able to recommend the best way forward. We are thrilled with how our front door trim looks, and are starting a list of additional projects for the coming months.
Don has been a great find since relocating to Groton, MA in July 2013. His first project with us was to build a gate leading to the stairs for our deck as a safety measure. His design integrated so well with the deck that it looks like the gate had been there from the beginning. It is also sturdily constructed. Don has also been hired for other handyman jobs, including hanging heavy pictures, fixing molding, and maintaining our smoke detectors [some very high up in dangerous locations]. He is willing to come back to make sure the result is perfect and the client is satisfied.
I think the best way to endorse Don is to let others know we are planning on hiring him for future projects, including enlarging our deck.

Don was tremendous to work with. He refinished our basement ceilings and installed a new window in our bathroom. My husband and I were very pleased with the quality of his workmanship, his integrity and trustworthy nature as a person. Donny was recommended to us by a friend. I had very bad luck in the past with contractors and was a bit reticent about hiring someone new to do work at our home. My anxiety was quickly ameliorated as soon as he got to the house. Not only was Donny timely, but his prices by far were the best we had been quoted. His work was meticulous and he helped us create the perfect bedroom and porch...we absolutely love it! He showed us drawings of what he planned on doing and walked us through every step of the way. There were no surprises or hidden costs...everything was up front and on the table. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their home.
Don was recommended to me by a friend to make some repairs to the basement in our home that we needed to put on the market since we were moving to Texas. He was very personable, to the point that my children and wife commented how nice he was and how pleasant it was to have him around. He took a genuine interest in them. That's pretty rare.
In terms of his work, Don was on-time, efficient, and clean. I was expecting to have to do some clean-up myself and was pleasantly surprised to see there was zero clean-up for me.
Don has very reasonable rates. You get more than what you pay for.
When it comes to contractors, Don is the best of the best. He is reliable, personable, clear about what he can accomplish and when it will be completed. He then delivers on these expectations without exception.
I've had Don do 3 projects at the house and have just arranged for him to do a 4th in the last 12 months. He is dependable and fair. His work is high quality, finished on time, and reasonably priced. I strongly recommend him to friends and family.
